Charitable Projects
The Lifesaver Project
Our state has decided to address the crime of domestic violence by financially supporting shelters and organizations that assist the victims of domestic violence. Each April our court holds a Life Saver drive for this cause after Masses on a selected weekend. 60% of the collection is then donated to our local Crisis Intervention Center. 40% is sent to the state court for disbursement to the archdiocese with instruction for the donation to assist domestic violence victims.

Pie Sales and Dessert Fundraisers
Our court sells pie for the Knights of Columbus Annual Pork Loin Barbecue and Lenten fish fries, as well as after Masses on a few Sundays throughout the year. Funds raised go to support scholarships for students attending Newman Catholic School System and a college student entering first year of college. Our members are famous for their delicious pies! We contribute to the Habitat for Humanity Hammers & Heels fundraiser by offering a pie/dessert a month for a year to the highest bidder as part of the silent auction. We also hold a Cookie and Candy Walk after Masses on a weekend in December. The past few years, we have provided bars for the annual parish picnic and other social events.
Monthly Coin March
Each month our members empty their coin purses, with the funds raised going to scholarships for Newman students.
Charitable Donations $
Our court makes donations to support groups and projects during the year, at the suggestion of members. For example, we donate funds to the Salvation Army Thanksgiving baskets, items to local baby pantry and food bank at Christmas time. We donated funds to send several local youths to NCYC 2023, and we have donated to the Storybook Project and toiletries to the Crisis Intervention Services and homeless shelter. Our court collects food, toiletries, and outer wear items in December for Epiphany Parish's two Blessing Boxes.
Christmas Project
The Court chooses a project for Christmas time. Past projects have included: decorating a tree for One Vision's Festival of Trees, adopting seniors through the Elderbridge Santas for Seniors program, or donating items for the Baby Pantry of local food bank.
Bimonthly Rosaries
Court members lead the rosary twice monthly at Kentucky Ridge assisted living facility.

PRAYER FOR SEMINARIANS BY ST. JOHN PAUL II:
Lord, enable these future priests to have a personality that is honest and rich in virtue in the semblance of Jesus Christ. Enable them to be men of God, and like Jesus, men for others. Instill in their hearts a real love for the Divine Word, for the Eucharist, and for prayer, for the church and for the doctrine of salvation that She preserves and faithfully proclaims. Enable them finally, in preparation for their future ministry, to be more holy every day. AMEN
